TECHNICAL SEO ENGINEER

The technical SEO engineer will be part of our Ecommerce team, and work along with an E-Commerce Manager, a team of Web Developers, and will be reporting to the SEO Project Manager located in Gameloft’s HQ, Paris.
The ideal candidate will be in charge of handling all technical aspects of SEO on our Web and WAP sites.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for keeping the technical sides of the websites clean and search engine friendly:
- Site architecture optimization
- Link structure
- URLs
Develop improvements to new and current sites that result in higher search engine rankings.
Provide SEO guidance in technical areas such as server infrastructure (Apache configuration), programming standards, web page development etc.
Implement tracking tools to effectively measure ROI with SEO
Develop tools to measure SEO program success: crawl rate, indexed pages, links, etc.

Required Skills:
2+ years web page development experience.
Expert at hand coding sites in XHTML and CSS.
Strong web development experience with PHP.
Proficient in Javascript and knowledge of AJAX.
Understanding of how search engines spiders work.
Detail oriented with good analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to work under deadline with minimal supervision
